- This version (V4R), is the Mixed Generation console.
You can recognise it, not from the model number only, as normal, but you have to open the expansion bay and search for an extra screw.
So, V4R-mixed generation console, can be recognised by:
1. model number scph-3000xR but No extra screw in the expansion bay!
- Everything is like normal V4 consoles, but the sticker.
- This model exist in all systems (PAL, NTSC),
so we can easilly conclude that, this was made by $ony in perpose to confuse mod-busines,
and it is not a mistake that happent in the production...
- Laser Eye, is compatible with all other 1st Generation consoles, and spare-parts are available.

DO NOT solder in bios points, cause this may effect in your consoles' mainboard.
DO NOT use any CD-backups over 650 mb, you may tune off your laser adjustment.

- V4R consoles - (model scph-3000xR with electric warning hazard and 8 screws)

This type of mainboard is compatible with V4R consoles.
The bios is upgraded like in all 2nd Generation consoles.

--> Cd-rom type#2

This type of Cd-rom is compatible with all V4 and V4R consoles.

--> Laser Eye type#1

This type of Laser eye is compatible with all 1st Generation consoles.

--> Power Supply type#2

This type of power supply is compatible with all versions (V4, V4R, V5, V6, V6R) except V3.

--> Heat Sink type#2

This type of Heat sink is compatible with all V4 and V4R consoles.

--> Ribon cable type#2 (short one)

This type of Ribbon cables is compatible with all versions, except V3 consoles.

--> Cooling System type#2

This type of cooler is compatible with all versions (v4, V4R, V5, V6, V6R) except V3 consoles.
