There are currently 2 models (scph-3xxxx & scph-3xxxxR),
and 6 versions (V3, V4, V4R, V5, V6, V6R) of PS2.

One version (V4R) of PS2 console, belongs either to these 2 models, as long as it is model scph-3xxxxR outside and model scph-3xxxx inside!

Generally, when we have Laser eye upgrades, we have a new Generation,
and when we have a mainboard or any other update, we have a new version.

So, we can talk only about Generations and not for models!

--> 1st Generation consoles - < V3, V4, V4R > old type of Laser Eyes
All 1st Generation consoles, has the same Laser Eye type#1 All SCPH-3000x models, and one SCPH-3000xR model (V4R-mixed Generation console), belong tothe 1st Generation consoles.

One version(V4R) of SCPH-3000xR model is the only Mixed Generation PS2. It is a 2nd Generation console outside (check the sticker, model scph-3000xR), but inside is a normal 1st Generation console (normal V4 console)

All 2nd Generation consoles have the same Laser Eye (type#2,#3) height. All the SCPH-3000xR models, except for one version (V4R-mixed Generation console), belong in the 2nd Generation consoles.
