The use of ribbon cables is needed in V4 and V3 consoles, but also makes the installation more safe in case that your PS2 drop down! Lusifer mod 2nd edition includes ribbon cables for all the models, giving extra safety for all versions of consoles worldwide! V4 & V3 installation requires to find a red-black 2 wires cable and: - disconect it from the mainboard of your PS2, and connect it to Lusifer, - and connect Lusifer 2 wires red-black cables, back to the mainboard!
